For almost as long as I can remember, I have been on a so-called “journey” of personal improvement. It’s funny we often refer to it as a journey, and not a goal. This inherent nature of personal improvement is likely what has always resonated most with me as an individual and entrepreneur. After all, I believe true drive and relentless pursuit is often born in and developed from the pursuit of ever-increasing greatness, rather than the desire to reach the destination.
Grant Cardone 10X Planner
Goal setting is a well known tool used by driven individuals to maintain focus and direction throughout their hectic day to day lives. Personally, when it came to clear, well-defined goals with specific timelines, I usually came up short, year after year. The most obvious missing link in my perspective seemed to be consistency. I have always considered myself very driven, and focused as an individual. However, as an individual, I felt my drive was rarely concentrated and focused on the right areas that would give me the “small wins” I knew I craved to build momentum.
I tried many different techniques. I read books on time management. I watched seminars on goal setting. I bought notebooks. I downloaded scheduling apps. Nothing worked for me. I still fell victim to distraction, steering ever off-course and further away from building the habits I knew I needed to develop as second nature. What was missing? Perhaps it was daily reminders? I began focusing on that idea as a possible solution to my inconsistencies.
You know that idea, “the solution is right under your nose”? While in this case, it wasn’t physically right under my nose, but it was certainly just as simple and obvious. I believe much of our feelings and behaviors come from the long term patterns of mental programming we have subjected ourselves to over the years. With that in mind, the solution came to down finding a tool which specifically addressed the benefit of using consistency in our daily focus and planning.
I grabbed the Grant Cardone 10X Planner, which is part schedule, part planner. When my package arrived a few days later I was very excited to start my journey of daily focus and personal accountability. My optimism my quickly rewarded as I spent five minutes writing down my goals, targets and hourly plans for the day. I felt a gear in my mind shift – something was happening. I
Grant Cardone 10X Daily Planner
I had a very productive first day, hitting all my lofty objectives I had set earlier that day when the 10x Planner had first arrived. That evening, I repeated the process of goal and objective setting and begin laying out my schedule for the next day; a schedule that subconsciously was designed to lead me on the most effective path to my objectives for the day, and more importantly, my long term goals. At the end of each day, when repeated the planning process, there’s a section to record your “wins” from the day. I love doing this each day as it provides the stimulus of a reward every day for taking action, and further cements and reinforces the habit.
I have been using the Grant Cardone 10X Planner for several weeks now, and I have seen massive changes take plan in my daily routines, and most importantly, overall sense of productivity and progress. The most obvious catalyst for change in this process is the physical practice of filling out the goals, objectives, daily wins and of course planning each day meticulously with the former in mind.
I understand there’s a ton of tools out there which all claim to solve the same need and provide similar benefits. The fact of the matter is I used many methods, tools and combinations of both, but I still fell back into my old ways quicker than I could create a new habit. The Grant Cardone 10x Planner fixed that for me. Within a few days, the powerful process had already worked its magic. I could feel it on a cellular level. I was moving toward a more peak version of myself. The one I’ve always been chasing.
